This half-term we decided to take a day out packed with thrills, chills and adventure in Lightwater Valley Theme Park
Although the park is not fully open at the moment, there was still lots to do for the children.
My boys absolutely adore the UK’s largest Angry Birds Activity Park and this was our first port of call. Pretending to be shot by a catapult, ‘meeting’ their favourite characters and climbing on the adventure playground, we spent a great deal of time here
We also visited Riggmoor Mobile Farm where we found lots of cute and cuddly animals to pet and feed, including rabbits, lambs, piglets, miniature ponies, cows and alpacas.
After a picnic lunch we went into Lightwater Falconry Centre where on display was over 35 amazing birds.
Inside the centre there was snakes and other reptiles, this was a big hit with Belle
Although there wasn’t as many rides open as usual, we did ride on Eagle’s Creek Farm tractor, which is an entertaining journey around the farm, and with two steering wheels it meant no arguing between my boys on who was going to drive.
To wind up the day we spent a little time in the indoor soft play & cafe. This was the perfect opportunity to grab a coffee and let the little ones run wild
The Half-term offer was amazing value for money, priced at just £6 per person and there was even FREE parking!
